Finally I’ve caught up with my sleep and am finally free to blog. Sunday marked the end of the three day roadshow at Suntec. Basically it was the Shin Min Record Breaking Carnival. Super boring exhibition to attend but the experience was unforgettable. My job was mainly to give out lucky draw coupons and stamp their hands and of course the pay was pretty high on the account of my job scope. Comparing to the past IT show, time went by real slowly. Maybe it was because of the crowd and their reaction.
At the roadshow, I’ve come across loads of weird encounters. While I was behind the counter, there was this plump lady filling in alot of coupons and at the same time she was talking nonsense. Apparently, I was then notified my colleagues about how she had been going around getting coupons from all my collegues. There we have it, a perfect example of a kiasu Singaporean. Moments later, we saw her gorging herself with the 3kg of Soya Bean ice cream in the ice cream eating competition. There was another lady who was going around getting coupons as well. When I asked to stamp her hand, she ran away with fear saying she was heading home. The next day, both ladies were doing the same thing again. For a moment, I’m stuck between deciding if it is desperation or kiasuism. Any takers?
Apart from all the weird encounters I’ve had and the fatigue I experienced after standing for about 10 hours daily in total, work was fun with the company I had. Well, it is better to work with people you know. Most of them were from the IT show and most importantly, I had one of my greatest gal pals working with me! Not to mention the best lao da we could have, Mr Martin Lee =D On the account that Shin Min’s readers are mostly targetted at the older range of adults, I came across loads of adorable kids and toddlers while at work. I had my fair share of playing, carrying and entertaining all of them while I was work. Truely unforgettable and great experience I had. Especially since I love kids. =))
The Natas fair held on the same days at level 6 left Qi and I begging ourselves for a weekend break in Bangkok. We desperately want to shop after draining ourselves with work! *pouts.
Will be working over at Matilda Bay tomorrow and on the weekends. Since the roadshow schedules have not been out and we’ve not been informed yet, will probably be carrying on at Matilda Bay next week. Though my brother is my boss, no acceptions are made to me. =/ Schedules will strictly go according. I only get pampered by him when I pout a little too much thanks to hunger and cravings. =p
That’s about what I have for the most recent updates! With that, I’ll end the entries with pictures from the roadshow and pictures taken during my chilling session at DXO with the colleagues. =)

Head over to Dalilprincess for more pictures.
Much Love.
